She teaches approximately 7–8 companion animal and/or nutrition courses per year with an average yearly enrollment of approximately 450 students. Each student can utilize one slide to aid their presentation. Not only will winners receive a CAHNRS scholarship\, but the standout presentation from a PhD student will also advance to the University-wide competition scheduled for March 26\, 2025.

DESCRIPTION:The San Juan Islands Agriculture Summit is a valued annual event that provides a unique opportunity for the food and agricultural community from across the islands\, and beyond\, to gather. Designed as a space for inspiration\, education\, and comradery\, the Ag Summit features keynotes\, hands-on workshops\, presentations by farmers and regional specialists\, panel discussions\, meals and social events. \nStarted in 2013 by representatives of Washington State University Extension\, San Juan County Agricultural Resources Committee\, San Juan Islands Agricultural Guild and San Juan Island Grange #966\, this event has rotated between San Juan\, Orcas and Lopez every year\, except 2021 when we adapted to an online program. Each year the program is developed by a collaboration of local agricultural organizations with the guidance of a steering committee representing partners and stakeholders.

SUMMARY:2025 WSU Wheat Academy
DESCRIPTION:Two days of comprehensive\, hands-on learning await participants of the WSU Wheat Academy. Growers and industry professionals from all over the Pacific Northwest are invited to the WSU Pullman campus on December 9 and 10 to learn about disease diagnostics\, insect pest management\, herbicide decisions\, nutrient management\, soil health\, the new wheat quality test\, and much more directly from the experts. \nThe Wheat Academy will begin at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday\, December 9 and will be held in the Vogel Plant Biosciences Building Teaching Laboratories on the WSU Pullman campus. Registration is $100 for growers and $200 for industry representatives and is limited to the first 75 registrants. The registration fee covers parking on campus\, two lunches\, a lightly catered social hour\, and light refreshments throughout the two-day event.

DESCRIPTION:This event\, open to all students and their families\, is sponsored by the CAHNRS Student Senate and AgTM Club. It will be held on the WSU Family weekend\, Saturday\, October 25th three hours before kick-off for the home game against Toledo. Sponsorship donations for food and beverages allow this event to be a key fundraiser for the CAHNRS Student Senate. Each year proceeds of the event go to the supporting requests from the 51 clubs represented in the college for conferences\, industry tours\, guest speakers\, and other requests\, creating an opportunity for greatly enriched experiences for CAHNRS students.
