DESCRIPTION:Healthy forests are no accident! Trees thrive when they have moisture\, nutrients\, and room to grow. Healthy forests also accommodate a lot of wildlife that depend on other plants for food\, water\, and shelter. Together\, trees and wildlife depend on one another— controlling insect outbreaks\, providing cover from weather extremes\, and recycling twigs and logs that build healthy soils—all while contributing security for nesting and resting. \n\n\n\nCome to the Wildlife Habitat Field Day and learn how you can create features that meet your wildlife use needs. You will learn about the benefits of dead trees and how to use woody debris to build structures serving birds\, lizards\, weasels\, bobcats\, and bears. \n\n\n\nYou will learn to create forage plots that attract deer and elk and ways to control noxious weeds.
